TJ Gnanvel made everyone's head turn with his debut directorial debut, "Jai Bhim", starring Suriya in the lead role. The talented director has announced that he will direct Rajinikanth next, and the film has been tentatively titled. Now, the latest reports on the internet claim that Suriya is expected to do a cameo in Rajinikanth's film with TJ Gnanavel. This TJ Gnanavel's film with Rajinikanth is said to be a cop drama, and the lead actor will reportedly be seen as a Muslim cop. TJ Gnanavel is working on the film's pre-production work, and the shooting is to begin soon.
But the innovative director has reportedly decided to add more power to 'Thalaivar 170", as he is planning to bring in his 'Jai Bhim' actor Suriya for a special appearance in the film. However, nothing has been finalised yet since just the initial talks are on, and we have to wait to see whether the team locks in Suriya or any other actor for the role.
If Suriya is roped in to play a cameo role in 'Thalaivar 170," then he will become one of the rare leading heroes to share screen space with both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Suriya earlier played a cameo role in Kamal Haasan starrer 'Vikram', which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, and his role as a gangster Rolex has turned out to be a huge hit.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, 'Jailer' will be Rajinikanth's next release, and the makers have yet to announce the release date.
