Thalapathy Vijay distributes relief materials to people affected by Nellai floods

Thalapathy Vijay, the leading South Indian actor has a huge fan following, and he uses his fan power well to do several welfare activities. Vijay has decided to donate relief materials to people in Tirunelveli, who were affected by the recent floods in the district.

The heavy rainfall in Tirunelveli and Tuticorin districts affected the people as most of the areas in both districts were flooded with rainwater. We have seen several scary videos of people struggling in the Nellai floods, and the government speedened the rescue action to bring back normalcy in both districts. Even though the Tamil Nadu government has helped people with their basic needs, Vijay has decided to extend his support to the people and families affected by the Nellai floods. Vijay has been distributing relief materials to people through the program organized through his fan club (Vijay Makkal Iyakkam). Vijay is distributing relief materials for 400 families each from Tirunelveli and Tuticorin districts. Vijay reportedly giving Rs 10,000 to 50,000 to people who lost their houses due to cyclone, while he will be giving Rs 1 lakh for a family, who lost any of their family members.

Meanwhile, fans didn't give a grand welcome for Vijay as the actor arrived in the city after long years, and they expressed their unconditional love for the actor.


Vijay extending his support to families affected by the Nellai flood has raised speculations about his political entry. It seems like Vijay has decided to build the base well before announcing his political entry officially since he has been doing several benefits for the people through his fan club.

On the professional front, Vijay is working on his film with director Venkat Prabhu, and the film has been tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 68'. The first look and title of the film are expected to be unveiled soon, while the film shooting is progressing firmly.
