'Thupparivalan 2' work to start rom Summer 2024

Actor Vishal who is now shooting for his film Rathnam with director Hari will soon start the work for his next project. The buzz is that Vishal will be beginning to work on his directorial project 'Thupparivalan 2'. The mystery detective story will soon go on floors. It is a sequel of the movie Thupparivalan directed by Mysskin in 2017 and it starred Vishal, Prasanna, Vinay Rai and Andreah Jeremiah in lead roles.
The film became a huge hit and the actor is now planning for its sequel and he is also planning to direct the film marking his debut in the direction field. Thupparivalan 2 was initially announced in 2019 but after a misunderstanding between Vishal and director Mysskin, the film as it was produced by Vishal Film Factory, resumed in 2020 and the actor himself decided to direct the movie.

The film will star Vishal, Rahman, Nassar, Jayaprakash, Gautami and Suresh Chakravarthi. The music will be composed by Illaiyaraaja and it is also said that the movie makers will soon be roping in a Bollywood actor to play the antagonist in the film. On the work front, Vishal and Bala's Rathnam is said to be released in theatres in Summer 2024. The shooting for the film is almost completed and following his shooting for this film. Vishal will full engross him in the preproduction work of Thupparivalan 2.
