in a film opposite heartthrob Nivin Pauly, that is being directed by Shyamaprasad. Her character will be a performance-oriented one. Trisha said, 'Although it is still preliminary to reveal the details, it is true that I am doing a

Malayalam

film. The director is working on the script and the technical team is yet to be decided. The film is a sweet love story, and involves very challenging characters.' The shooting of her Malayalam film is expected to begin in mid-2017. Talking about debuting in another industry after all these years, Trisha said, 'Cinema, I believe is global today, and I am keen on venturing out.' About working with Nivin she added, 'Nivin and I have met a few times. He is a good friend and a warm person. So, I am looking forward to working with him.'
