Pavel Navageethan is now making his debut as a director with
V1
, a
murder mystery
. “I was a creative director at an NGO and Bramma, the director of Kuttram Kadithal, was a friend. He felt I’d suit a role in his film, so I gave acting a try. Soon, I got many acting offers, but the thought of directing a film was always at the back of my mind since direction is my passion,” begins Pavel, who says he has done extensive research on the forensics department for this film.
“The protagonist is a forensic officer and the title refers to the house in which the crime has been committed. This film will give a detailed account of how forensic officers handle a case,” he says.
Newcomer Arun Ram Castro plays the lead role while Malayalam actress Vishnupriya will be seen as the female lead. Pariyerum Perumal actor Lijeesh, Mime Gopi, Linga of Sindhubaadh fame are among the supporting cast.
“Even though investigative thrillers are a trend now, this one will be different in treatment, which is somewhere between the mainstream and the offbeat,” concludes the filmmaker.
