The makers of Varalaxmi-starrer

had announced a while ago that the movie will release on an OTT platform on August 1. It was also said that director Lokesh Kanagaraj of
Kaithi
fame will release the film’s trailer and he did it on Sunday evening. Sharing the YouTube link of the trailer, he posted, “Very happy to present you the intriguing trailer of a thriller murder mystery @varusarath ’s Danny! Premiering on August 1.”

thanked the director for the gesture and took to Twitter to post, “Finally our thriller murder mystery #Danny Premiering on August 1.”
The actress plays Kunthavai, an intelligent cop who takes up the case of a brutally murdered girl with the help of Danny, a brilliant dog. Yogi Babu, Vela Ramamoorthy and Vinoth Kishan among others essay crucial roles in the film. Cinematographer-filmmaker PG Muthiah will be presenting the movie, the trailer of which is close to two minutes. Santhosh Dhayanidhi has composed music for the project which has cinematography by B Anandkumar. SN Fazil has edited the movie which has action choreography by Billa Jegan.
The first look of the film, directed by Santhanamoorthi, was released a few months ago by Jayam Ravi. Interestingly, like Danny, two of the recent Tamil films which released on OTT platforms,
Ponmagal Vandhal
and Penguin, too, were women-centric movies.
