If reports are to be believed, Thala Ajith’s
Veeram
is all set to be remade in
Bollywood
. We hear that
Akshay Kumar is likely to play the lead in it. Veeram had
Ajith and
Tamanaah
in the lead and was directed by
Siva, with whom Ajith has teamed up for
Vivegam
as well. Akshay has been doing a series of films addressing social issues and it looks like the actor now wants to do a commercial film and hence, decided to give Veeram a shot.
The actor is working on a film based on the life of Coimbatore-based social entrepreneur Arunachalam Muruganantham. The film is titled Padman. Reports are that Akshay will start shooting for the Veeram remake early next year. The film will be directed by Sajid.
