Venkat Prabhu thanks Rajinikanth for praising Vijay starrer 'GOAT'

The Tamil film 'GOAT' aka 'Greatest of All Time' was released in theatres on September 5 and the film made a box office of Rs 450 crore worldwide. It recenltly made its OTT premiere and amidst its mixed reviews, the film has become the highest grosser of 2024 beating Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' which is still running in theatres.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film is a science ficiton action entertainer and it starred Vijay as the lead in dual roles. Taking to X on Saturday, Venkat Prabhu thanked Rajinikanth for taking time to watch his film and thanked him for appreciating the film wholeheartedly. Venkat Prabhu's tweet read, "Thank you, Thalaivaaaa!! for the call and for embracing our #GOAT with so much love. Thanks again for appreciating wholeheartedly. Forever grateful, sending you all the love. @rajinikanth."



'GOAT' features Vijay, Sneha, Prashanth, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Laila, Jayaram, Mohan, Ajmal, Parvathi Nair, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Premji, Arvind Akash and Vaibhav among others. The music for it was composed by Anirudh Ravichander. On the work front, Vijay has his next and last film 'Thalapathy 69' which is helmed by H Vinoth. Meanwhile Rajinikanth who was last seen in 'Vettaiyan' has started shooting for his next titled 'Coolie' with Lokesh Kanagaraj.

The period action drama stars Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra Rao, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir and Shruti Haasan in lead roles and thhe music for it is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
