It is well known that actor Kamal Haasan and director Bharathiraja have a great bonding and friendship that has developed over decades. The Ulaganayagan has acted in Bharathiraja's direction five times in the films '16 Vayathinile', 'Sigappu Rojakkal', 'Oru Kaidhiyin Diary', 'Puthiya Vaarpugal', and 'Tik Tik Tik', and most of them are successful ones. Recently, director Bharathiraja met Kamal Haasan at Raaj Kamal Films International office.

Meanwhile on the work front, Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for his magnum opus 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar. A sequel to the blockbuster vigilante thriller of the same name, ‘Indian 2’ will see Kamal Haasan returning as the freedom fighter Senapathy. He is also set to collaborate with Mani Ratnam for the untitled 'KH234', after a gap of 35 years.
