One of the most successful director-actor combinations in Kollywood is
Vetri Maaran and Dhanush. The filmmaker debuted with Polladhavan, which starred
Dhanush in the lead, and they went on to work together in the National Award-winning Aadukalam, Vada Chennai and Asuran. While they had announced Vada Chennai 2, we have now learnt that Vetri Maaran and Dhanush will come together again for a film, which will be produced by
Elred Kumar. Sources in the know of the development tell us that talks have been going on for a few weeks now between the three, and an official announcement may be made any time soon.
Meanwhile, Vetri Maaran has a film with

Vaadivasal
, the poster of which was released yesterday, on the actor’s birthday. The director has also announced a film with Soori in the lead, which, incidentally, is also to be bankrolled by Elred Kumar. Dhanush, on the other hand, has Jagame Thandhiram with Karthik Subbaraj and Karnan with Mari Selvaraj, along with Anand L Rai’s Atrangi Re in Bollywood.
