'Vettaiyan' deleted scene: Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil feature in a humorous shot - Watch

Rajinikanth's starrer ‘Vettaiyan’ has gained popularity ever since the makers announced the movie, thanks to the ensemble cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and Manju Warrier. Now, the makers have released a deleted scene from the movie after its theatrical release on October 10.


In the clip shared on their official Twitter handle, Fahadh Faasil and Rajinikanth are seen having a comedic exchange. Rajinikanth’s cop character, Athiyan, and Fahadh Faasil’s comedic character, Patrick, share a playful chemistry on screen. Fahadh has received positive feedback for his performance in the film. The deleted scene, which showcases their characters’ bond, might have contributed to a stronger narrative regarding character development.

The movie marks Fahadh Faasil’s first collaboration with Rajinikanth under the direction of TJ Gnanavel. Earlier, Rajinikanth revealed how he was blown away by Fahadh’s performance in a comedic role, as he had previously only seen him in serious, performance-oriented roles.


‘Vettaiyan’ has become the second highest-grossing Tamil film of 2024, with Thalapathy Vijay's starrer ‘GOAT’in first place. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director for the Rajinikanth starrer.


Fahadh Faasil is gearing up for the release of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ with Allu Arjun, while Rajinikanth is busy shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 'Coolie’.
