'Vettaiyan' director TJ Gnanavel next film to star Mohanlal: A true story on Saravana Bhavan Rajagopal

Now, TJ Gnanavel has decided to start filming for his next directorial a year after the release of 'Vettaiyan.'Director TJ Gnanavel, during his time as a journalist, covered the controversial Saravana Bhavan Rajagopal case. It is well known that the Supreme Court convicted Rajagopal for the kidnapping and murder of Jeevajyothi's husband. As per News 18, TJ Gnanavel had been trying for a long time to make a film titled 'Dosa King' based on this incident. But the project is said to have been delayed due to various challenges.It has been reported recently that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal will star in this film, which is based on the life story of Saravana Bhavan Rajagopal. Reports suggest that director Gnanavel has narrated the story to Mohanlal, and an official announcement regarding this will be made soon. If this information is confirmed, this would be a major attempt to retell the crime case that caused a huge stir in India.Mohanlal has recently delivered 'Hridayapoorvam,' and the film helmed by Sathyan Anthikad was released in theaters for Onam.
