Teja Sajja’s Mirai crosses USD 65,000 mark for USA premieres

Following the success of Hanu-man, Teja Sajja stars in Mirai, a fantasy adventure releasing on September 12th, which has already garnered USD 67,000 in US premiere shows. The film blends Indian mythology with superhero elements, revolving around nine sacred scriptures. Karan Johar, Hombale Films, and Ags Cinemas are distributing the film in Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil respectively.

Following the success of Hanu-man, Teja Sajja stars in Mirai, a fantasy adventure releasing on September 12th, which has already garnered USD 67,000 in US premiere shows. The film blends Indian mythology with superhero elements, revolving around nine sacred scriptures. After delivering one of the biggest sleeper hits of Telugu cinema last year in Hanu-man, actor Teja Sajja is back with another spectacle Mirai, directed by Karthik Gattamneni.Hanuman had gone on to make more than Rs 200 crore at the box office with Rs 145.54 crore coming from Telugu and Rs 52.29 crore coming from Hindi version. Mirai which is slated to release on 12th September has taken a strong start for its premiere shows in the United States of America. The film has currently collected over USD 67,000 from its 370 shows and sold almost 3900 tickets. The numbers are expected to only go up as the release date comes near. Mirai is a fantasy adventure and a sci-fi action thriller than fuses Indian mythology with contemporary super-hero storytelling. Rooted in ancient Indian folklore, the film revolves around 9 sacred scriptures which are said to be created by Emperor Ashoka after Kalinga War. These scriptures hold divine powers to transform mortals into gods.The makers of the film have put together a huge release strategy in place for a smooth roll out of the film across India like producer-director Karan Johar has come on board to distribute the film in Hindi belts.While Kannada release is being done by Hombale Films, Tamil is by Ags Cinemas. The film also featured Jagapathi Babu, Shriya Saran,Rithika Singh and Manoj Kumar Manchu.
Tejja would also be returning to Hanu-man series , directed by Prashanth Varma for the second part which has been titled as Jai Hanuman and this time he will have the company of Rishabh Shetty who has been roped into play the role of Lord Hanuman.
