Video | Here's the official announcement of 'Karthi 26' with director Nalan Kumarasamy

Actor Karthi after his 25th film 'Jpan' is now shooting for 'Karthi 26' with Nalan Kumarasamy. While the news was out a couple of months back, the official confirmation from the makers was out only last evening as they shared the muhurat pujah video. The movie is touted to be a quirky entertainer and Karthi is said to play the role as a huge fan of late actor and politician MG Ramachandran. The movie makers shared a 2 minute clip on social media giving a glimpse into the production work of the film.

The video shows that the clapboard has MGR picture on it and the muhurat pujha was also attended by Karthi's brother Suriya and father Sivakumar. The pujah video shows the muhurat pujah were performed by veteran actor Sivakumar and actor Suriya clapped the first sequenece shooting of the movie. The film makers are planning to announce the title and first look poster of the film very soon.

The buzz is that the film will be titled 'Vaa Vaathiyare' and the cast includes Karthi, Krithi Shetty, Gautham Karthik, Sathyaraj and Anandraj. The music for the movie will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan.



On the work front, Karthi also has his 27th film specualted to be titled 'Mei Azhagan'. Directed by Prem Kumar, the movie touted to be a family emotional drama and it stars Karthi, Arvind Swamy, Swathi Konde and Sri Divya in lead roles. The music for the movie is said to be composed by Govind Vasantha. The actor has two more projects in the pipeline that include 'Karthi 28' with Mari Selvaraj and 'Karthi 30' with Tamizh.
