Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi's 'Master' teaser hits 40 million views

Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi's 'Master' is arguably one of the biggest and anticipated films in Kollywood right now. Directed by 'Kaithi' filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film also co-stars Andrea Jeremiah, Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das and Shanthnu, among others. The film's trailer was released on Deepavali day to much furore and appreciation among fans, going on to create records about becoming the most liked teaser. And now the teaser has hit 40 million views.

The film's production company announced this feat on Twitter on Thursday. "Namma pada pada, Velukkum thara thara. Vaathi raiding YouTube with 40 million views. Vaa nanba!" their tweet read. The film, which marks the first on screen collaboration between Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, was initially set to be released earlier this year. However, the film's release got pushed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan.
