Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha-starrer ‘96’ likely to release on September 13

Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan are collaborating for the first time in the upcoming romantic drama ‘96’, which is being directed by cinematographer C Prem Kumar. Earlier in July, the makers released the first look teaser of ‘96’, which received very good response from the audience.

According to latest reports, it looks like the makers are planning to release ‘96’ on September 13. On the other hand, the much-awaited trailer and audio will be released on August 24.If reports are to be believed, then the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer will clash with Sivakarthikeyan’s rural entertainer ‘Seema Raja’ and Samantha-starrer ‘U Turn’, which are releasing on the same date.

Touted to be an intense romantic drama, the film reportedly tracks Vijay Sethupathi’s life from an early age to 96. Produced by Madras Enterprises, the film also stars Janagaraj, S Janaki, Kaali Venkat and Aadukalam Murugadoss in important roles.

Govind Menon of ‘Solo’ fame is scoring the music for the film. The first single ‘Kadhale Kadhale’ has gotten fantastic response among music lovers. In fact, it was the promo song that was one of the main highlights of the teaser.
