Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maharaja' OTT rights bought by an international platform!

Vijay Sethupathi is all set for the release of his film 'Maharaja'. Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film marks the actor's 50th film and it is set for its release in theatres on June 14. The trailer of the film was launched just a couple of days back and it has a huge buzz surrounding it.


Now, the new update is that the filmmakers have sold the digital rights of the movie to the international OTT platform Netflix. The film has a stellar cast of Vijay Sethupathi, Mamta Mohandas, DOP Nataraj, Bharathiraja, Abhirami, Singampuli, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Vinoth Sagar and Kalki among others.


The trailer of 1 minute 42 second gives us a glimpse of Vijay Sethupathi's character from the film and the video also gives us a glimpse of the mystery and comedy element added to it. The movie makers have also launched the trailer of the film in Telugu and the release date of the film in Telugu is yet to be announced.






'Maharaja' is about a barber who seeks vengeance after his home is burglarised and cryptically understanding that 'lakshmi' of the house has been taken leaving the police uncertain if they are looking for a person or object.


On the work front, Vijay Sethupthi was last seen in the film 'Merry Christmas' and she still has 'Viduthalai Part 2' and 'Gandhi Talks' in the pipeline which are awaiting its release in theatres.
