Vijay Sethupathi’s next is with Vijay Chandar

Looks like Vijay Sethupathi is going to have a packed schedule next year as well. The actor, who is part of six films that are in various stages of completion, has signed on another one. He will be teaming up with Vijay Chandar, who last directed Vikram in

Confirming the news, Vijay says, “This one will be a commercial family entertainer, and will go on floors in February next year. When I narrated the story to Bharathi ma’am, she immediately came on board. The story is set in Chennai, and I’m presently working on the script.”

He adds, “I’ve met Vijay Sethupathi a few times, and during one of those meetings, I happened to narrate a one-liner about the film to him, and he was kicked. He has done a variety of roles, and he told me that he wanted to do a mass film now. Avar oru mass mood la iruntharu. Even I like doing mass commercial films, and we thought this script could work for both of us.” The makers are yet to finalise the rest of the cast and technicians, though.
