According to News Tamil, Vijay has arrived in a secret look by covering his face with a mask to watch Rajinikanth's film. By enjoying 'Vettaiyan' FDFS with fans, Vijay proved he is a great fan of Rajinikanth. The theatre management has secretly ensured the safety of Vijay by allocating him a special seat, and keeping details about the actor watching Rajinikanth's film a secret. Through this Vijay has given a perfect reply to fans fighting on social media considering him as a rival to Rajinikanth.

Vijay never disrespected Rajinikanth or taunted the actor. He has also shared his admiration for the senior actor several times through his movies and off-screen speeches.
