The hospital management recently posted a bulletin on social media announcing Vijayakanth's hospitalization and confirmed that he will be hospitalized for another 14 days. Even though the hospital management had clearly stated his pulmonary treatment, several speculations started to arise about the 71-year-old actor's health and hospitalization. This stirred up the silence of Vijayakanth's family, and the actor's wife Premalatha posted a video explaining the actor's health.
In the video posted on Vijayakanth's social media page, Premalatha Vijayakanth has condemned the YouTube channels and online portals for spreading false reports about the actor's health. Premalatha Vijayakanth has confirmed that Vijayakanth's health condition is stable, and he is not on ventilator support as claimed by a few YouTube channels. Premalatha Vijayakanth also said that Vijayakanth would return home soon, and requested everyone to not spread rumors. Meanwhile, Vijayakanth's son Vijayaprabhakaran has posted the actor's latest picture from the hospital, and he was seen posing well for the picture.
Meanwhile, Vijayakanth was one of the leading heroes till 2010, and it was tough to compete with the actor's films at the box office during his peak stages. Vijayakanth has a great fan following, and he lost his focus in cinema post turning into a full-time politician in 2006.
