Vishal’s latest outing
Irumbu Thirai
has been receiving praises from across the quarters. The film, directed by debut filmmaker PS Mithran, has been declared a winner at the box office. Irumbuthirai’s dubbed version in Telugu,
Abhimanyudu
has also had a successful run in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The box office trade reports claim that the film has collected 12 crore till date and that the movie is still running to packed houses.
Given the recent controversial incidents involving Facebook-Cambridge Analytica, the shutting down of Ukrainian power stations by alleged Russian hackers, and even India’s own Aadhaar, the topicality of Irumbuthirai's theme - cybercrime - instantly makes it compelling.
