'VJS 51' title 'Ace' to first look poster of Ajith's 'Good Bad Ugly': Newsmakers of the week

Last week has been very busy for Kollywood as multiple updates regarding the upcoming big films were launched by the movie makers. Starting from Ajith's first looks poster of 'Good Bad Ugly', Vijay Sethupathi's 51st film titled 'Ace', Vijay's 'GOAT' VFX work wrap, Pooja Hegde to join the cast of 'Suriya 44' and many more exciting news were dropped, Here's a round up of the top newsmakers!

Ajith has signed up for his next film 'Good Bad Ugly' with director Adhik Ravichandran. Taking to social media, the makers of the film launched the first look poster of the movie that features Ajith in a Hawaiian shirt exploring three different moods. The quirly poster shows Ajith playing three different roles in the movie and it is set for a Pongal 2025 release.

Actor Vijay Sethupathi's film with director Arumugakumar has been titled 'Ace'. The film's shooting was wrapped up in Deember and the movie makers revealed the title and first look of the movie on May 17. The film's cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, Rukmini Vasanth, Yogi Babu, BS Avinash, Divya Pillai, Babloo among others.

Vikram has signed up for his 62nd film with SU Arun Kumar. The action drama went on floors in April and the movie's first schedule shooting has now been wrapped up. The video of Vikram, completing his shoot and walking out from the film sets was captured by the fans and it is making rounds on social media.

Actress Pooja Hegde who was last seen in the Tamil film 'beast' alongside Vijay is suspected to play the female lead in tentatively titled 'Suriya 44'. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the movie is a romantic drama and it stars Suriya in the lead role and the music for it is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Makers have approached Pooja Hegde to play the female lead in the movie.

Directed by Siva, the epic period action drama stars Suriya, Bobby Deol and DIsha Patani in lead roles and the music for it is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The shooting and dubbing work for the film has been wrapped up and it is in final stage of post-prodution. Director Siva stated that the VFX and graphics for the film will be completed by August and the makers are likely to have a festive release for the movie this year during Diwali.

The upcoming Tamil film 'GOAT' aka 'Greatest of All Time' stars Vijay in the lead role and now taking to social media, director Venkat Prabhu has reveled that the VFX work for the film has been wrapped up. The film uses deaging technology to show Vijay as a young man in the film and now the director revealed that the post-production wwork is successful and cannot wait to see the output. 'GOAT' is set for its release on September 5.
