When Arya revealed Vishal's painful days of 'Avan Ivan' and his drug usage

In the 2011 film 'Avan Ivan', directed by Bala, Vishal portrayed a character with one normal eye and one artificial eye. To make his character look more authentic, the team made adjustments to his natural eyes, creating a lot of strain for Vishal. As a result, he had to keep his artificial eye in for the majority of the shoot, leading to severe headaches and discomfort. This persistent issue led to a long-term problem for Vishal, causing him continuous pain. To cope with this pain, Vishal reportedly developed a habit of drinking alcohol at night to relieve the discomfort. Arya, who acted alongside him, revealed these struggles during a press conference for 'Avan Ivan' in 2011.

Recently, Vishal's condition worsened due to a viral fever, which intensified his headaches and eye problems. This caused him significant distress, and at a recent 'Madha Gaja Raja' event, his eyes were seen tearing continuously. Following the doctor's advice, Vishal is now taking complete rest to recover. According to Dinamalar, sources close to Vishal mentioned that he has been enduring these health issues for the past 14 years due to the physical toll of his performances. Fans and netizens have been sharing their concern over Vishal's health as the most energetic actor of his days turned unhealthy in recent times.
