When Arya's rumoured relationship with Nayanthara ignited after their wedding card got leaked online

Kollywood actor Arya, known for his impressive performances, initially gained recognition for portraying rogue characters. He later cemented his place in Tamil cinema with successful films such as 'Naan Kadavul', 'Madrasapattinam', and 'Vettai'. The actor married actress Sayyeshaa in March 2019. However, prior to his marriage, Arya's name was frequently linked with actress Nayanthara. Their rumoured relationship began after the two worked together in the 2010 romantic comedy 'Boss Engira Bhaskaran'. The duo's on-screen chemistry sparked speculation about an off-screen bond.

During the same period, Nayanthara was also in the limelight due to her relationship with choreographer Prabhu Deva. Despite the ongoing rumours, Arya and Nayanthara never confirmed their relationship. Nonetheless, Arya openly expressed his fondness for Nayanthara, calling her a “special” person and stating that she was the heroine closest to him.



Reports about their bond gained more traction when Arya invited Nayanthara to his housewarming ceremony, reportedly giving her special attention. The buzz further escalated in 2017 when a wedding invitation featuring Arya and Nayanthara went viral. However, it was later clarified that the invitation was a publicity stunt for their film 'Raja Rani'.

Arya met Sayyeshaa on the sets of 'Ghajinikanth' in 2018. Their friendship quickly blossomed into romance during the shoot, and the couple decided to tie the knot in 2019. Sayyeshaa is the grand-niece of legendary Bollywood star Saira Banu. Their marriage attracted significant attention due to their 17-year age gap. However, the couple overcame societal scrutiny to build a beautiful life together. In 2021, Arya and Sayyeshaa were blessed with a daughter, Ariana.

Arya was last seen in the Tamil horror web series 'The Village' in 2024. He also made a cameo appearance in 'The Boys' last year.
