to shoot the final leg of the film after the actress was out on bail. But the actress had reportedly eloped the venue without informing the director.

Recalling the incident in an interview, director Selva Anbarasan had shared that Meera Mithun's manager informed him the next morning that Meera Mithun had left the shooting spot at midnight. He also expressed his sadness over Meera Mithun's behavior as she never valued the time and efforts of other stars and technicians, who were involved in the film shoot. Eventually, the director managed to shoot without Meera Mithun and completed the filming as planned.


'Peya Kaanom' features several young faces with popular comedian Kothandam and others. The film is produced by Global Entertainment, and the film's first look was launched earlier in Chennai.
