Ukraine
recently for
Karthi’s
Dev, directed by debutant Rajath Ravishankar,
Rakul
took on a rather interesting role — that of a tour guide. During breaks, the actress took her parents, who had come visiting on the set, and the film’s team, for some sightseeing.
Rakul says, “My mom was with me in London, and from there, she joined me in Ukraine. But it was a surprise when dad also dropped by for five days. I spent some much-needed time with them and was getting pampered all the time. This was my second shoot in Kiev — I’d already shot for a Telugu film before. So, I was like the pro who knew the place in and out. The local cuisine is amazing, and the place is very calm and quiet. The sun sets at about 10pm, so we could shoot for longer duration as well.”
The actress returned to the country a couple of weeks ago, and after briefly shooting for Suirya’s NGK in the city, has taken off to Kulu for one of her Bollywood films.
