Vijay Thalapathy and
Trisha Krishnan have become the hot topic of discussion since they were widely photographed at producer
Kalpathi S. Suresh's son's wedding reception in Chennai. Their joint appearance, coming just days after Vijay's wife of 26 years, Sangeetha Sornalingam, filed for divorce alleging an extramarital affair, only fuelled speculation about their relationship.
Vijay and Trisha Krishnan on-screen duo
One of Tamil cinema's top on-screen duos, Vijay and Trisha, debuted together in the 2004 hit ‘Ghilli’. They went on to star in ‘Thirupaachi’, ‘Aathi’, and ‘Kuruvi’.
Trisha Krishnan on Vijay in ‘Ghilli’
In an old interview, Trisha opened up about working with Vijay on their first film, ‘Ghilli’. She candidly admitted, "Vijay is amazing. I have done four films with him. And to be very honest, when we started 'Ghilli' I didn't have much of a rapport with him because everyone knows Vijay is a very quiet person. Very reserved, comes on set, does his work. But thanks to my team of Ghilli, we became really good friends."
The actress further praised Vijay as "a very kind, gracious person." At the time, she said, "Vijay is a person who will always (be) very special to me because he was the co-star with whom I have given the biggest hits... I've never seen him lose his cool. He's so professional on set, he does his work, completes his task to a T, and he's someone who you always look back and say that one person I'll always be fond of. He's one of them."
Vijay and Trisha Krishnan reunite
Trisha Krishnan and Vijay teamed up again after 15 years in ‘Leo’, a
Lokesh Kanagaraj film that released in 2023.
Vijay has indirectly responded to his divorce dispute and cheating claims, however, Trisha has stayed mum about the affair allegations.
