Wondering how long it will take for the Pollachi case to find justice: Karthi

The four men convicted in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case, Akshay Kumar Singh, Pawan Gupta, Vinay Sharma and Mukesh Singh, were hanged today at Delhi’s Tihar jail. A number of people took to their social networking page to say that Nirbhaya has finally got justice. Actor Karthi was one of them, “Finally justice for Nirbhaya after 8 years. Wondering how long it will take for the Pollachi case to find justice. It’s been a year already. Hope we don’t forget the lessons we learnt from it! Always stay safe. #NirbhayaCase.” (sic)He also asked people to stay safe inside their homes during the Corona outbreak. “He posted on his micro-blogging page, “My sincere respects to the Govt., all institutions, especially doctors, nurses & their families who’re taking every precaution to protect us from #COVID19. I was still able to see people crowd at the beach. Let’s support the combined effort, stay at home& practice proper hygiene.”
