Yugi Sethu to direct after 27 years

is said to direct actor Ganesh Venkatraman. The writer, actor cum director is going to direct his third film after a gap of 27 years. Yugi made his directorial debut with the film Kavithai Paada Neramillai in 1987, starring Amala and Nasser, which was a remake of the Hindi film, Ankush. His second film was Maadhangal Ezhu. Then Yugi started acting in supporting roles. Some of his interesting supporting roles include films like Panchathanthiram and Ramana. Yugi also excelled as a screenplay writer in two Ajith films, Villain and Aasal.

Ganesh Venkatraman on twitter made it open with a tweet that read, “With my super talented director Yugi Sethu sir! I have been a huge fan of his writing and comedy. And now finally working with him is a huge learning experience." An official announcement about the film and rest of the cast is expected soon.



Ganesh Venkatraman was last seen in mystery thriller, 7 Naatkal that had Shakthi Vasudevan in the lead . The actor is currently in the shoot of Vanangamudi starring Arvind Swamy directed by Selva.
