K-Town actress, Saranya Mohan is all set to enter the bond of matrimony! The Yaaradi Nee Mohini actress has announced her engagement to beau, Dr. Aravind Krishnan on social media site, Facebook. According to reports, Saranya has been quoted as saying, "It is an arranged marriage. Aravind is a native of Trivandrum and is a doctor by profession." According to reports, the family decided to go in for a quick engagement ceremony as the Malayalam month of Karkidakam was dawning upon them. "Since Karkidakam is considered inauspicious for wedding and other auspicious ceremonies, our parents wanted to conduct the engagement at the earliest,” said Saranya.

The Vamsam star and grandson of the DMK patriarch, M. Karunanidhi, Arnulnithi married Keerthana, the daughter of retired Madras High Court judge, Kannadasan on June 8, 2015. The union of two such powerful families, was expectedly attended by several DMK leaders and Kollywood celebrities. Arulnithi, who is currently basking in the success of his latest movie, Demonte Colony, looked dapper at his reception. Superstar Rajinikanth was also one of the guests who attended the reception held on June 7, 2015.

South beauty, Amala Paul, married director A. L. Vijay in traditional Chettiar style on June 12, 2014. The duo first fell in love during the shooting of Deiva Thirumagal and dated for nearly 3 years before tying the knot. The wedding was a star-studded affair and several celebrities from the Kollywood film industry attended the do and blessed the couple. The guest list featured the likes of Illayathalapathy Vijay and Vikram to name a few. Amala looked angelic in her glittering golden Anarkali dress designed by Sabyasachi and Vijay looked suave in his black suit.

The Raja Rani director, Atlee Kumar, married television actress, Krishna Priya, on November 9, 2014. The couple had been friends for quite a while before falling in love, as reported on Ibtimes.co.in. Atlee started as an associate director and worked with ace director, Shankar, for sometime before making his directorial debut. His last movie with Shankar was Nanban and starred Illayathalapathy Vijay. The wedding was graced by K-town’s known celebrities including the likes of Shankar, Vijay, Arya and Nayanthara.

‘Varayo varayo’ singer, Chinmayi Sripada married Vanakkam Chennai star, Rahul Ravindran on May 5, 2014. The marriage was performed in the traditional Tamil style. Chinmayi was draped in an elegant Kaanchivaram sari and Rahul was wearing a white pattu lungi. According to a report on Ibtimes.co.in, the couple wanted their wedding celebrations to be a low key affair. The report also stated that the couple had requested their guests to not bring gifts for them. They urged them to instead donate the money to 17,000 ft Foundation, a charity organisation in Ladakh. The duo also received blessings and wishes from celebrities on micro-blogging site, Twitter.
