Kollywood's besties

A friend in need is a friend indeed. Yes, indeed it is a true saying. We have always seen celebrities celebrating friendship in the virtual world of cinema. However, very few of them really stick to their on-screen friend. As the world celebrates Friendship Day, our Kollywood celebrities are also getting along with their besties. Let’s take a look at all the Tamil celebrities who put aside their on screen catfights to reunite with their best friends...

Trisha and Nayanthara

K-Town hotties and talented actresses Trisha Krishnan and Nayanthara met at an awards function years ago. Although a report on Bollywoodlife.com suggested that there seemed to be animosity between the two because of fierce competition, the Kollywood damsels bonded really well after they found out that they have a mutual friend.

Kollywood's besties

Arya and Vishal

These two hunks of Kollywood bond over things beyond films. Their friendship grew deeper after the duo came together in Bala’s Avan Ivan. Vishal was quoted as saying, "The bond which I share with him is something I still mull over. When we became friends we never knew we would become actors. Today, it comes to us naturally to keep our profession out of our friendship."

Kollywood's besties

Shruti Haasan and Tamannaah Bhatia

The Kollywood lassies met while filming a Telugu movie, Aagadu, where Tamannaah was the lead lady and Shruti was doing an item number. The pretty women hit it off during Filmfare awards 2013 and have been good friends since. A raunchy rumour of the two girls engaging in a lip-lock started doing the rounds but finding these two together is very cute.

Jayam Ravi and Jiiva

When you look for a rock solid friendship example in Kollywood, it has to be credited to Jayam Ravi and Jiiva. The duo even shared space on screen and Jayam Ravi was quoted as saying, "Jiiva has been such a great friend. When we celebrated my son's first birthday and I couldn't make it, he made it a point to make sure that his wife and kid attended. It meant a lot to me and that's something that I will never forget. He has become like family to me now."

Kollywood's besties

Anushka Shetty and Amala Paul

The Deiva Thiirumagal beauties Anushka and Amala bonded big time during the making of the film. Although they have different tongue, their friendship needs no language, just a small code word that only they can decipher. Anushka also said, "Amala keeps talking to a lot of people in Malayalam and I don't know the language. So whenever we meet each other, I greet her with a 'brubrubru' and she responds in the same manner. She's a sweetheart and it was great fun working with her. We keep in touch often."
