College kids compose for film

They are still in college, but 19-year-old Vishal and 20-year-old Adityaare already film composers. The audio of their debut film Gubeer, a comedy directed by Thilip, was launched recently. Says Vishal, ���I���ve learnt the nkeyboard and have also done a course in sound engineering. Aditya is learning Sufi and Hindustani music at AR Rahman���s music school.We are collegemates and jammedtogether for the first time for an event.Impressed by our performance, the organizers asked us to compose two songs, for which we roped in playback singers Haricharan and Rita Thyagarajan.���
The duo had released a few more songs after that, which was how they got the film offer. ���One of the actors in Gubeer, Prabhu, saw our songs on the internet and recommended our names to Thilip, who got in touch with us through a social networking site,��� reveals Vishal. He says that initially, the plan was to compose just two songs. But now, the album has eight songs. ���But only four will be in the film,��� he adds and says they have tried many musical styles including folk, rap, dubstep and a proper melody.
