Music album of Thulluvadho Ilamai influenced me the most during college days: Benny Dayal

Singer Benny Dayal, who did his college in Chennai, recalled how the music album of

Thulluvadho Ilamai

influenced him during those days. As he posted a video of him singing the cover version of ‘Idhu Kaadhala’ from Thulluvadho Ilamai, he mentioned it in the scrip and it read, “The album of THULLUVATHO ILLAMAI was the most influential album in my first year of college. When I moved to #chennai from #abudhabi to join college. All the songs of this album brought me joy. This is my tribute to @itsyuvan sir for his mastery in #drumandbass #love #music #passion #stayhome #staysafe #instagood #tamil @dhanushkraja sir… #huge #respect (sic).” The film Thulluvadho Ilamai had Dhanush playing the lead role and it was directed by Kasthuri Raja.


The singer had sung the songs ‘Kabhi Ruhani Kabhi Rumani’ and ‘Flip Your Collar Back’ from the Bollywood film ‘Raja Natwarlal’. The composer of the film was Yuvan Shankar Raja. Benny is also the lead singer of his band called Funktuation. The band recently released a cover of AR Rahman’s ‘Enna Kaanavillaiye’ from ‘Kadhal Desam’. The 1996 film had Vineeth, Abbas and Tabu in the lead roles.
