Indie musician Balaji Gopinath has come up with an original song, titled Kaar Vizhigalil, which, he says, is about the appreciation of nature. The melody features vocals by Shweta Mohan and Haricharan, while GKB, the writer of songs like Nee Kavidhaigala and Adiye, has penned the lyrics. The song has been performed and recorded by the the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, a 61-piece orchestra from Hungary.
About his composition, Balaji says, “It’s about appreciation for nature with a poetic feel to it. Since childhood, I have been inspired by nature’s wonders, like the flight of birds, waterfalls, clouds, and vast oceans. My vision for this song was that when someone listens to it, they should feel like a bird flying in the sky.”
On why he chose Shweta and Haricharan, he says, “Shweta ma’am was the apt choice as she can hit the high notes easily, and Haricharan sir’s voice has a soft yet grand texture, which is exactly what the song demanded.”
