‘Arjun Suravaram is a film that every student must watch’

’s upcoming thriller Arjun Suravaram had faced several obstacles over the last six months, but the actor is relieved that the film is finally ready for release. “Finally, the audience can see the result of our efforts. We’ve put in a lot of hard work and spent lots of money to make an honest film. It feels great that
the film has overcome all the hurdles,” says Nikhil, adding, “The whole cast is extremely positive. The trailer received a terrific response, garnering over three
million views. It feels like our hard work is finally paying off.”

The cast and crew received the biggest boost when Megastar Chiranjeevi lavished rich praise on the film during its pre-release event, recently. “Chiranjeevi garu loved the film and said that it’s important that a film like this is taken to the public and has urged all parents and students to watch the film. His comments have given us all a huge boost,” gushes Nikhil. Nikhil plays an investigative journalist, Arjun Suravaram, who gets implicated in a false case, in the film. “I play an honest journalist who believes in reporting the truth, no matter what. When my character falls in trouble, he decides to investigate the issue along with the help of his friends,” shares Nikhil, adding that the film’s USP is the strong message that it entails. “The film conveys a powerful social message. Parents pin a lot of hopes on their child’s education, and the students come under pressure and fall for hi-tech scams. Many of them get induced by fake apps that have access to their private information. That’s what Arjun Suravaram will focus on,” the actor reveals. Although based on a serious subject, the crime thriller directed by TN Santhosh, will offer lots of light-hearted entertainment as well, says Nikhil. “When you have actors like Vennela Kishore, how can you not have laughter and fun in the film? There will be a lot of situational comedy and the scenes involving me and Vennela Kishore will be side-splitting. We’re calling this film an ‘edutainment’, it educates people about certain issues, as well as entertains them,” Nikhil signs off.
