Megha Akash, 'LIE', in the direction of
Hanu Raghavapudi, scored average ratings after its release last Friday.
The otherwise interesting film with a plot that could work at the box-office, the film failed to live up to the expectations of the fans as well as moviegoers. The treatment of the film and the not-so interesting and run-of-the-mill love-track sidelined the theme of the film.
On the opening day, the movie, which was released alongside 'Jaya Janaki Nayaka' and 'Nene Raju Nene Mantri' settled for a mere Rs 2.07 crore. Though it withstood the weekend test, the movie failed to make any interesting numbers.
By the end of five days after its release, LIE garnered only Rs 7 crore, across the Telugu speaking states.
