Ashwin Kumar’s mythological animated film 'Mahavatar Narsimha' is breaking records at the box office—and making history along the way. In just three days, the film has become the highest-grossing Indian animated movie of all time. According to reports on Sacnilk, the film has officially surpassed the 2005 classic 'Hanuman', claiming the top spot as the highest-earning animated film in India to date.

According to the Sacnilk website, the film saw a huge jump in box office earnings over the weekend. The film opened with around Rs 1.75 crore on Friday, but its collections more than doubled on Saturday, reaching an impressive Rs 4.6 crore.
According to the report, 'Mahavatar Narsimha' earned an impressive Rs 9.5 crore on Sunday, pushing its weekend earnings to an estiamted Rs 15.85 crore net. On its first Monday, the film managed to maintain its grip over the box office, earning an estiamted Rs 6.1 crore.

Hindi version drives major growth

The Telugu version also performed well, collecting around Rs 5.57 crore net. Additionally, the film earned from the Tamil and Malayalam dubbed releases.
