Rangasthalam’ released on March 30 and has received rave reviews for everything from the music and direction to the characters and story.

Within no time, ‘Rangasthalam’ even crossed the $2M mark which the makers have confirmed on their social media. The Mythri Movie Makers wrote, “Whatte solid #RangasthalamWave at the Box Office, #2MillionRangasthalam” (sic)
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala posted that ‘Rangasthalam’ is now the second fastest
Telugu movie, the first being ‘Baahubali’ to reach the $2M mark so quick in the US. He wrote, “Outside the #Baahubali series, #Rangasthalam is the fastest Telugu movie to reach $2 Million in #USA” (sic). He added, “From No.9 , #Rangasthalam with $2,265,424 has moved past No.8 - #NannakuPrematho ($2,022,392) , No.7 - #Agnyathavaasi ($2,065,527) and No.6 #Fidaa ($2,066,937) and takes No.6 Position in #USATop10AllTimeTelugu” (sic)

‘Rangasthalam’ is a film set in the 1980s and charts the journey of Chitti Babu, played by
Ram Charan, Kumar Babu, played by Aadhi Pinisetty and the oppression their village faces from the President garu, played by
Jagapathi Babu.
Samantha plays Chitti Babu’s love interest Rama Lakshmi in the film while
Anasuya Bharadwaj plays the role of his confidant, Rangammatta. ‘Rangasthalam’ features music by Devi Sri Prasad, lyrics by Chandrabose and cinematography by Rathnavelu. Prakash Raj, Naresh and several other artistes also play key roles in the film.
