Rangasthalam US box office premieres collection: Ram Charan starrer collects $630K

The unprecedented craze for

Rangasthalam

converted into humongous openings for the film in the US market. The premier shows o the film on March 29, a day ahead of its release today, generated revenues of a whopping $630K making it the highest ever opening day grosser for a Ram Charan film. Not only that, it is also the sixth highest opening for a telugu film in the US behind Baahubali 2, Agnyaathavasi, Baahubali, Khaidi No 150 and Spyder.

Directed by Sukumar, Rangasthalam features Ram Charan and Samantha in the lead. It’s a village drama set in the 1980s in a fictional town of Rangasthalam abutting the River Godavari. Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Aadhi Pinisetty and Anasuya Bharadwaj are the other major actors in the film which has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
