'Thandel' Box Office Collection Day 4: Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's film mints Rs 41.10 crore

Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's 'Thandel,' directed by Chandoo Mondeti, has continued its successful run in theatres, completing four days since its release. The adventure drama film has been praised by the audience for the chemistry between the leads.

According to trade analyst Sacnilk, 'Thandel' collected Rs 4.75 crore on its first Monday. The movie previously earned Rs 11.5 crore on its opening Friday, Rs 12.1 crore on its first Saturday, and Rs 12.75 crore on its first Sunday, bringing its total collection to Rs 41.10 crore.

The film has maintained a decent occupancy rate even on its first Monday. The Telugu version of 'Thandel' had an overall occupancy of 26.94% on Monday, February 10, 2025, with occupancy rates varying throughout the day where Morning Shows at 20.01%, Afternoon Shows at 26.56%, Evening Shows at 27.12% and Night Shows at 34.08%.

On its opening day, 'Thandel' grossed Rs 21.27 crore worldwide, marking the biggest opener in Naga Chaitanya's career. By the end of its first weekend, the film had crossed Rs 50 crore in worldwide gross collections.

'Thandel' is based on the true story of fishermen from Srikakulam who accidentally drifted into Pakistani waters and were imprisoned. Naga Chaitanya plays Raju, a fisherman who becomes the captain of his vessel, while Sai Pallavi portrays his lover, Satya. The film also stars Rao Ramesh, Divya Pillai, and Prakash Belawadi in key roles.

While the film has been praised for the lead actors' performances and Devi Sri Prasad's music, it has received mixed reviews for its story and pacing.

Despite the mixed reviews, the film's box office performance has exceeded expectations, and it is projected to cross Rs 60 crore in the coming days.
