'Virupaksha' box office collection Day 3: Sai Dharam Tej's film surpasses expectations with a 37 crore opening weekend

Sai Dharam Tej starrer 'Virupaksha' has had an excellent opening weekend, grossing a whopping 37 crores within just 3 days of its release. The film, which had a pre-release business of 22 crores, has managed to collect a share of approximately 21 crores so far. This means that the movie is just 2 crore short of achieving its breakeven mark.

The movie's success can be attributed to its spine-chilling horror theme and the brilliant direction by debutant Karthik Varma Dandu. The talented cast, which includes Samyuktha Menon as the female lead, and Ajay, Rajsekhar Aningi, Brahmaji, Rajeev Kanakala, Koushik Mahata, and Sunil in important roles, has also contributed to its success.

The music for the movie was composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, while Shamdat Sainudeen handled the camera work. Navin Nooli edited the flick. The movie's spine-chilling horror theme, combined with its talented cast and excellent technical team, has helped it to emerge as a winner at the box office.

The region-wise share calculations for the movie's first three days are as follows: Nizam - Rs. 7.20 crores, Seeded – Rs. 2.31 crores, Uttarandhra - Rs. 2.05 crores, East Godavari - Rs. 1.10 crores, West Godavari – Rs. 85 lakhs, Guntur - Rs. 1.19 crores, Krishna - Rs. 1.10 crores, and Nellore - Rs. 56 lakhs. The AP and Telangana total share for the movie's first three days stands at Rs. 16.36 crores.


Outside of the Telugu states, the movie has grossed around 1.41 crores, while its overseas collections have been around 3.05 crores. The movie's worldwide total, as of now, stands at around 20.82 crores.
