Mahesh was supposed to debut with Yamaleela

Comic actor Ali recently revealed that Mahesh Babu was supposed to play the lead role in the super hit film Yamaleela (1994), which happens to be the latter’s first film as hero. Since Mahesh’s father Krishna did not give his consent during that time, the makers had to cast Ali for the lead actor role.
After five years, Mahesh made his debut in K. Raghavendra Rao directorial Raja Kumarudu (1999).
