Five reasons that make ''Pournami'' a must watch
Movies related to various genres are being rolled out for the audience but there are only a few among them that can win millions of hearts. One of those movies that we will be talking about today is Pournami. The movie features Prabhas and Trisha Krishnan in the lead roles. The romantic action-drama directed by Prabhu Deva was released on April 20, 2006, and was declared a commercial success at the box office. The movie has been shot in the locations of Virupaksha Temple, elephant stables, and Stepwell in Hampi. Today, this amazing movie has completed fifteen years of its release into the theatres. Prabhas as Siva Kesava

As Siva Kesava, a western-style dance instructor, he has given his 100 per cent as an artist and has pulled the role in his own unique way. Pournami is surely an emotional ride for all the Prabhas fans, and it has won everybody’s heart. The way he gets into the character and brings the role to life on screen is nothing short of magnificent.

Chemistry between Prabhas and Trisha
Prabhas is an immensely popular star, a favourite amongst women of all ages, and Trisha Krishnan is the quintessential beauty. They starred in three movies together, including Pournami. They delivered one of the biggest blockbusters of Telugu cinema, Varsham. Prabhas has intense chemistry with Trisha in the movie. Both the actors are always on top of their acting game and deliver their best. That makes them one of the best couples on screen. Together they were quite popular and became a favourite of the audience very easily.

Devi Sri Prasad’s music
Pournami gave us some of the most memorable songs hummed even today. The 2006 movie had some 10 songs, and each was awesomely composed by Devi Sri Prasad. When a movie has Devi Sri associated with it, you know it’s going to be a musical wonder. The song, “Muvvala Navvakala” became an instant hit. From KS Chitra’s brilliant rendition of Yevaro Choodali to SP Balasubrahmanyam’s mesmerising vocals in Muvvala Navvakala, each song will leave you awestruck, even today.

Stellar cast
Apart from Prabhas and Trisha Krishnan, the rest of the star cast has also given stellar performances in the movie. Charmme Kaur, Rahul Dev, Sindhu Tolani, Mukesh Rishi, Geetha, Madhu Sharma, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Chandra Mohan, Manju Bhargavi, Sunil, Tanikella Bharani, Veda Sastry, Harsha Vardhan and Subbaraju have given spectacular performances in the movie, and there is no second doubt about it.
