Anuradha
Anuradha (22) a Junior artist from the Telugu Film Industry committed suicide in Hyderabad by hanging herself to a ceiling fan on September 21. Her younger sister revealed in her statement to police that Anuradha was madly in love with a man named Kiran for almost 6 years now, and she started living with him after he assured her of marriage. But Kiran ditched her sister and got engaged to another woman. Hence, Anuradha took this extreme step.

Bhargavi
She was best known for her role in Mohan Krishna Indraganti’s ‘Ashta Chamma’ starring Natural star Nani. After the film got a superhit talk upon its release, just in a few months the actress was found dead in her Banjara Hills house along with Orchestra operator Praveen Kumar. Though it is a mystery if it is a real suicide or a tragic demise. Reports also suggest that Bhargavi's lover Praveen strangled her and later committed suicide over her suspicious new relationship.

Pratyusha
Pratyusha's death is yet another mysterious death in the Telugu film industry, she committed suicide on 23rd Feb 2002 due to a strained relationship with her boyfriend Siddharth Reddy. Later after 2 years of her death her boyfriend Siddharth Reddy was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for abetting Pratyusha to commit suicide.

Silk Smitha (1996)
This 36-year-old Telugu actress Vijayalakshmi (Original name) was the queen of item songs and vamp characters in South cinema. She was a favorite among the masses for her songs and romantic acting. On September 23, 1996, Smitha was found dead hanging at her apartment in Chennai. A few months after her death, it was declared in the postmortem report that Smitha committed suicide, with high amounts of alcohol in her body.

Divya Bharati (1993)
This Pan Indian actress was last seen in Telugu in ‘Tholi Muddhu’. She was still in her teens before she took this extreme step. Her death is still a mystery and many theories in relation to her death are floating on the internet. As per certain reports, she was secretly married to Sajid Nadiadwala on 10th may 1992 in a private ceremony and was converted to Islam post marriage but it was kept secret so that her film career may not suffer.

Fatafat Jayalaxmi
This popular Tamil actress in the early 1980’s known by her screen name Fatafat Jayalaxmi (Original name: Jayalakshmi Reddy) who roused to fame in South cinema during the 70s by acting with the top stars of south cinema, was found hanging by the ceiling fan over a failed romance. She was just 22 and married to the nephew of M. G. Ramachandran. In one of his interviews, Rajinikanth picked the name Jayalakshmi as his all-time favorite actress.
