67th National Film Awards: Vamshi Paidipally, Dil Raju and others receive country's top cinema award

The prestigious

67th National Film Awards

took place in Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan today (October 15).

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu

gave away the awards to the winners in presence of the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting,

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur

, and other senior dignitaries. The grand event witnessed film personalities being awarded for their outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian Cinema. Superstar Rajinikanth, Tamil actor Dhanush, director Vamshi Paidipally, producers Dil Raju and Shirish and other celebrities attended the prestigious award ceremony.

As announced early this year, Rajinikanth received

Dadasaheb Phalke Award

, Indian cinema's biggest honour for his contribution to the Indian cinema. Mohanlal starrer 'Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea' won Best Feature Film. Mahesh Babu-starrer '

Maharshi

' was declared as the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and director Vamshi Paidipally and producers Dil Raju and Shirish received the award at the prestigious ceremony. Nani-starrer 'Jersey' won Best Telugu Film and Best Editing, and director Gowtam Tinnanuri, producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and editor Navin Nooli received the awards at the 67th National Film Awards.
