8 South Indian film celebs who are proud owners of exotic Lamborghinis

Buying luxury cars is a matter of status for film celebrities. Film stars, who lead a larger than lifestyle on-screen, love the same lifestyle off-screen too owning swanky cars, residential places, and expensive transports. Till a few years ago people were going gaga over star’s BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Range Rover, Aston Martin cars that cost somewhere between 50 lakhs – 3 crores. Now everyone seems to be a favourite of the Italian raging bull ‘Lamborghini’ and its variants. Yesterday, the internet was full of pictures of Jr NTR’s newly purchased ‘Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule. Therefore, let’s see some of the South Indian celebs who have owned the Italian racing car ‘Lamborghini’.

Baahubali actor Prabhas also has a huge collection of expensive luxury cars such as ‘Rolls Royce Phantom VII’, which costs around Rs 8 crores, Land Rover, Range Rover, BMW X3, and Jaguar XJR. He also recently purchased sports car Aventador S Roadster – a special edition of Lamborghini with a V12 engine that costs around Rs 6 Crore.

Now the latest to join the racing club is ‘RRR’ star Jr NTR. He purchased India’s first ‘Lamborghini Urus Graphite Capsule’ that costs around Rs 3.16 – 3.5 crores. The car comes with a Nero Noctis Matte and Arancio Argos as a contrast colour. The luxury SUV will soon be delivered to NTR in Hyderabad from Lamborghini’s Bengaluru showroom.

Kannada film star Darshan is also reported to be in the Lamborghini owners club. He had purchased a premium SUV in May 2019. He picked a bright yellow called ‘Giallo Auge’ shade of youthful ‘Lamborghini Urus’ as it is the most common choice among Urus lovers across the world. Darshan is a proud owner of the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster that costs around Rs 6 crore. He bought Aventador before purchasing the ‘Lamborghini Urus (Rs 3.5 crore)’.

Puneeth Rajkumar is one of the most influential superstars of Kannada cinema. In March 2019, the actor had gifted ‘Lamborghini Urus’ to his wife on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Puneet Rajkumar’s wife, who used to drive a Jaguar XF luxury sedan, has all of a sudden switched to the world’s fastest SUV that costs around Rs 3.5 crore.

Nikhil Gowda is a Kannada actor and is the grandson of former Indian Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. He is also a proud owner of the Lamborghini Raging bull. In fact, he was the first in South India to own a Lamborghini variant. Nikhil’s father, who was a Chief Minister of Karnataka, had gifted his son the very costly Lamborghini Aventador way back in 2014.

The biggest South Indian Superstar Rajinikanth who is known for his humbleness seems to be a huge fan of sports cars. He has a huge list of luxury car collections of which ‘Lamborghini Urus’ is one among them that costs around Rs 3 crore. The above picture was reported to be posted on his Instagram handle, and fans went crazy seeing their ‘Thalaiva (Guru)’ driving the racing car 'Lamborghini'.

One of Mollywood’s big stars is also a fan of the Italian raging bull, and he purchased it in 2018. Prithviraj Sukumaran has reportedly purchased the Lamborghini Huracan - LP 50-2 rear-wheel-drive variant. The car costs Rs 2.99 crore (Ex-showroom price) that has a top speed of 319 Kmph and can go from 0-100 kmph within 3.4 seconds.

Harris Jayraj is one of the top music composers in the South Film Industry. He has scored music for a few Telugu films too in the past. The popular music composer who has a love for speed has bought himself a Lamborghini Gallardo Bicolore. The car comes with unique Scorplus alloy wheels.
