Veerabhadraiah. With Samarasimha Reddy (1999), he was a popular villain.

Jaya Prakash is the one actor who still brings a chill to our spines as a villain as well as a smile on your face as a comedian. Jaya Prakash, an actor par excellence who is best remembered for his command over grey areas. He perfectly epitomised the antagonist in most of his movies with complete ease. None could match up to deliver negative roles with such ease, and Jaya Prakash will always be remembered for the villainous as well as comedic roles he immortalised when he was alive.

Jaya Prakash Reddy is etched in the hearts and minds of all of us as the best villain of all time, and nobody has been able to fill his shoes. He has been immortalized in cinema through his iconic dialogue delivery and his many negatives, as well as comic portrayals onscreen, made him a favourite actor of Tollywood. From the chilling Veeraraghava Reddy in Samarasimha Reddy to the sophisticated MLA’s father in Sarileru Neekevvaru, Jaya Prakash pulled off the many versatile characters he played with ease.

Remembered for nailing the villainous as well as comedic roles with his exceptional acting, Jaya Prakash Reddy has more than 150 films to his credit. It was his unique combination of impeccable acting, grace and style, which made him a veteran actor. His voice modulation and the fluidity of his face distinguished him from other actors of Telugu cinema. His voice quality was matchless. His roles in Jayam Manade Raa, Narasimha Naidu and Chennakeshava Reddy also exhibited how he could extraordinarily underplay, and give immensely controlled performances.

His comic timing can be seen at its best in Anandam, Kabaddi Kabaddi, Evadi Gola Vaadidi, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana to name a few. One should not forget Ready, directed by Sreenu Vaitla, which gave us a taste of what would
