Acharya star Chiranjeevi to direct a film soon: Here’s what he had to say

153 films later, Tollywood star Chiranjeevi has a new dream he wants to conquer, that of directing a film.

The actor, who’s known for giving inputs to his directors, might soon be seen welding a megaphone. Talking to directors Vivek Athreya, Buchi Babu Sana, Sagar Chandra, Venky Kudumula,

and Hasith Goli in an interview, the actor confirmed the same. He said, “Directing a film is a wish that hasn’t come true yet. By the time I hit 70, I will definitely direct a film. There are too many films lined up for me as an actor now, but once I wrap them up, my fans will see a whole new side of me.”

He added that it’s his experience on film sets that gives him the confidence that he can make a film someday, “Directors like Raghavendra Rao and B Gopal gave me numerous hits, they would like to take my inputs on scripts. It gave me confidence that I can do a good job at making a film.” While it looks like the Megastar has something in mind already, he has not revealed whether he will act under his direction or cast another hero.

Chiranjeevi is the lead actor in Acharya that hit screens this Friday, he will soon be seen in Godfather and Bholaa Shankar.
