negative for Covid-19

after battling the virus over the past days. He announced along with an Instagram picture on Thursday.

Kalyan tested

positive for the virus

on April 22. The actor posted a picture dressed in a grey T-shirt. He is seen wearing a baseball cap as he posed for the camera.

"I'm Covid-19 NEGATIVE! Hope you all are staying indoors, stay safe! Thank you so much for the love and prayers," Kalyan wrote.

The Vijetha actor had earlier informed his fans via a social media post that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to a hospital.

On the professional front, Kalyaan Dhev made his debut with the 2018 Vijetha, starring alongside Malavika Nair. The family drama was directed by Rakesh Sashia and produced by Rajani Korrapati and Sai Korrapati under the banner of Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram. He will next be seen in "Super Machi", which is reportedly a romantic entertainer directed by Puli Vasu and also stars Rachita Ram and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.

The first look poster which was released in October 2019 got a good response. The shooting of Super Machi has been wrapped up and the makes have not yet revealed the release date of the movie. Also starring Rajendra Prasad, Naresh, Posani Krishna Murali and Pragathi in pivotal roles, the film is produced by Rizwan under the banner Rizwan Entertainments. The technical crew of Super Machi included Shyam K Naidu for cinematography, Marthand K Venkatesh for editing and S Thaman for music. He has also signed Ramana Teja's
