Om Raut’s film Adipurush, featuring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, was released on Friday.
TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, who acquired the rights for the Telugu version of the film, expresses his satisfaction with the audience’s post-release enthusiasm. “We were thrilled by the pre-release buzz surrounding Adipurush, but the excitement after its release has truly exceeded our expectations. The tickets were sold out in no time. It’s heartening to witness the audience’s genuine interest in experiencing Om’s version of Valmiki’s Ramayana onthe big screen,” says Prasad.
Vishwa Prasad attributes this high interest to both the curiosity surrounding Prabhas’ portrayal of Raghav and the unique storytelling approach. “I got involved in this project not only because of my association with Prabhas but also because I recognised it as a remarkable opportunity to support a story of this nature. It offers a distinctive retelling of the mythological tale that resonates with both children and adults. We have high hopes for the film’s enduring success,” he adds.
The aim going forward is to make a panworld film, says the producer. “In the next few years, I want to make a proper Hollywood film. But for now, we have exciting projects like Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej’s BRO and Ravi Teja’s Eagle in the pipeline, apart from six projects, few of which will hit OTT,” he says, signing off.
